'Penthouse 2: War in Life' Episode 9: Did Dan-tae kill Ro-na? Logan finds out Ae-gyo is Su-Ryeon in hiding
'Penthouse' Episode 9 sees Seo-jin (Kim So-yeon) getting forced to marry the man that she has now come to hate — Joo Dan-tae. She now understands that Dan-tae had always wanted nothing but to possess her company Cheon A Group, which was handed over to her by her late father. She also learns that the one to out her about having a shadow singer is Dan-tae and all that she wants to do is break up with him, break their engagement and return to Yoon-chul, her ex-husband.
However, things do not end up the way she wants. Not only does Dan-tae manage to get her to okay their upcoming wedding, she also ends up trying many wedding dresses to make Dan-tae happy. All of it to ensure that her daughter Eun-byeol doesn't get caught for a crime. The one who killed Ro-na was Eun-byeol. She was the one who struck Ro-na with the award statue for telling her the truth about her mother. Now, Seo-jin and Yoon-chul are both doing their best to hide the truth.

In fact, they even went as far as to manipulate her memories and that is when the two of them became very close. In fact, for the sake of Eun-byeol, Seo-jin and Yoon-cheol also agree to give their relationship another shot. Of course, none of this works out because Dan-tae has been scheming all this while. He believes that the only one who he really needs by his side is Na Ae-gyo (Lee Ji-ah), the woman who looks exactly like Su-ryeon (Lee Ji-ah) and is actually the biological mother of Seok-hoon and Seok-kyung. Not only that, but we also got a glimpse of Dan-tae washing blood off his hands, turns out he was also the one to set the fire alarm off.
However, the twist is that Na Ae-gyo is not really the woman that he believes her to be. Turns out, she is Su-ryeon or at least Logan seems to have found out as much. At the end of Episode 8, we saw Logan and Yoon-hui (Eugene) rescue Ae-gyo believing that she had the key to all of Dan-tae's secrets that might bring him down. However, we also see how Logan seems to believe that Su-ryeon is the one standing in front of him. He continues to be suspicious about Ae-gyo and so does Yoon-hui. They continue to believe that it is not Ae-gyo but Su-ryeon in front of them.
There is also the fact that for a year now, Ae-gyo refused to return to Dan-tae as she continued to stay in hiding in Thailand. Initially, Dan-tae accepted her excuses, but after a bit, he also ended up becoming suspicious of her and that is why he waited just until she signed the documents necessary for his next plan to work and then he attacked her. In the face of all of this, can Yoon-hui really succeed in exacting revenge?
