Paulo Coelho 'lost followers' after praising BTS over record-breaking 'Butter', fans say 'ARMY has your back'
Paulo Coelho congratulates BTS for yet another world record-breaking moment and talks about 'losing followers' for doing so! The 'Alchemist' writer's congratulations come after BTS broke the world record of the fastest music video to get 110 million views. The author writes, "I am losing a lot of followers because I posted a tweet congratulating @BTS_twt but this is the price to pay when you support people you admire. The boys overcame so many difficult moments, prejudices, etc. and THEY WON!!!"

With BTS breaking new records, ARMY says the age-old debate of who paved the way can take a backseat. ARMY as at this point, it is BTS vs BTS. 'Butter', the Grammy-nominated South Korean music group's summer anthem, has also started its world record-breaking spins with a few more feats like the biggest YouTube music video premiere with over 3.9 million views, garnering 10 million views within 13 minutes, and on its way to break the Spotify single-day record of streams by Mariah Carey (17.22 milliom) with accruing 14.8 million views within a few hours of release.

After Coelho's tweet, ARMY rallied behind the author, thanking him for the support and love that he has shown to the band for a while now. A fan tweeted, "I have been a fan of yours, for years, for obvious reasons. I haven't cared about a band in decades, and love these gentlemen for all the unobvious reasons. They work so hard, care so much, stay true to themselves, and are humble and kind in a world where that is scoffed at." Another fan said, "You won my love and respect!! Ever since I was a teenager! Iβve been a fan of all your literature works and as an ARMY so glad to be sharing the same admiration for BTS! Thank you always for your tremendous support. We love ya!" Yet another fan posted, "It's ok, you might lose some followers but ARMY has your back. Your books have helped me through some difficult times specially The Alchemist and Veronika decides to die."
