Is Patience pregnant on ‘All American’? Truth behind rumors as Chelsea Tavares's real-life story sparks new theory

What happened to Patience? That's the number one question on the minds of ‘All American’ fans. Last week, it was speculated that something major went down between Patience (Chelsea Tavares) and Tamia “Coop” Cooper (Bre-Z). From trouble in their paradise to a betrayal from JP Keating, there's a lot going on in Patience's life.

But most fans are wondering if she will soon announce her pregnancy. Confused? Read on. This week, in the second episode titled ‘How to Survive in South Central’, the cat came out of the bag. Coop barged into a conversation between Olivia Baker (Samantha Logan) and Layla Keating (Greta Onieogou) and lashed out at the paycheck she had got, saying there should be “more zeroes”. 

“You think I'm stealing from you?” a shocked Layla remarked. Coop then retorted, “I don't know... Maybe screwing up with artists runs in your family,” adding, “Ask your pops what he did to Patience.” When Layla asked Patience what the matter was, she told her to check out her dad's new singer's song. “You will find it super interesting.” On a date with Spencer James (Daniel Ezra), Layla listens to the song and realizes that Patience wrote it. 

“​I know for a fact that Patience didn't like the stuff they gave her,” Layla told Spencer and added that she started writing for herself. To mend things with Patience and Coop, Layla surprised them at a cafeteria like a proper boss lady. “Paychecks were small because we booked a bigger venue. So if you need more money, start making music,” she told Coop, adding, “​I don't appreciate you blaming me for stealing.”

To Patience, she said, “What my father did was wrong. And you do not have to walk away from your dreams because of it. Sign with me.”​ When Patience wondered if that was actually possible, “Don't worry about my father, I'll handle him.” Thumping her fist on the table, Coop remarked, “There's the badass bitch I signed with.”

Now, that the music scene is sorted out, will Patience and Coop have a baby coming in their life? Back in August 2020, Tavares shared the heartwarming pregnancy news with her fans on Instagram and wrote, “​God gave me two dreams about you and I can’t wait to meet you,” alongside a picture of her baby bump. The 29-year-old is currently dating her boyfriend Joshua Bowen.

Soon, she shared a string of more pictures and videos with her fans from her time of pregnancy. In one post, she wrote, “How are you gonna film while being pregnant? How are you gonna film while being pregnant AND lesbian? With the help of @greta.onieogou & @danielezra treating me like a Grandma on set, filming season 3 while pregnant is going great.” Now, fans can't stop wondering if she will soon be pregnant on the show too.

On Twitter, one fan posted, “So when Patience is going to let Coop know that she’s pregnant? big clothes #AllAmerican did they write her pregnancy in the story,” and another posted, “Hmmm looks like the actress who plays Patience is pregnant.” A third chimed in, “I’m just waiting on Patience to say she’s pregnant. I know they wrote it in since the actress seems due any day now #AllAmerican.”

‘All American’ Season 3 premiered with its first episode on January 18 and the second one aired on January 25, 2021. The CW announced the estimated schedule for its fall shows and the series is slated for the 8 pm to 9 pm time slot on Mondays. Going by the previous seasons, this one should also come with 16 episodes.

If you're wondering when it will premiere on Netflix, you'll have to be patient. The series drops on the streaming site only once all episodes have finished airing weekly on The CW.
