Narcos: Mexico's beloved bad boy Diego Luna is embracing the other side on Amazon Prime Video. Appearing as himself in a new issue-driven conversation series titled 'Pan y Circo' (Bread and Circus), Luna brings his innovative design to the talk show genre. He mingles discussion with culinary arts, each episode sparking off in the kitchen, where the chef of the dinner about to unfold, kicks off the conversation topic. Arriving globally, Luna's talk show 'Pan y Circo' launches on Prime Video this Friday, August 7.
Plot
Think a number of soirees through Mexico where dinner parties are served by some of the most illustrious sorcerers of all things gastronomic and are accompanied by an engaging chat on local ingredients and issues plaguing the planet. Such is the rendezvous where Luna reinvents the whole 'Red Table Talk' concept. He brings to the table something nobody can deny: good food and a string of actors, thinkers, activists, and people working with the topic being addressed in each episode. These topics range from climate change to gender violence, decriminalizing drugs, race, colonialism, identity, and more.

Luna is a widely adored Mexican telenovela actor who has garnered incredible fame and critical acclaim for his works in Netflix's 'Narcos: Mexico', where he played the show's Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, the leader of the Guadalajara Cartel and founder of the modern Mexican drug trade. Luna has also appeared in films including 'Y tu mamá también', 'Open Range', 'Milk', 'Rudo y Cursi', 'Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights', 'The Terminal', and 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'.

'Pan Y Circo' has been produced by La Corriente del Golfo, a production company Luna started with fellow actor and reportedly best friend, Gael García Bernal. This will be the company’s first-time collaborating with Amazon Prime.
