The period comedy series that made its grand premiere on Apple TV+, on March 20, introduces viewers to the Palm Beach high society, and how the show's protagonist, Maxine Simmons (Kristen Wiig), navigates her way into it.
Since the debut, the character of Robert Diaz (Ricky Martin) has been stealing our attention for his charming yet secretive smile and his unknown past.
With his limited screen time and interactions with Maxine Simmons, here's what we have gathered about his character so far.
Who is Robert Diaz in 'Palm Royale'?
Robert Diaz is introduced as the talented bartender at the exclusive Palm Royale club. As the series progresses, it is revealed that he has more jobs and responsibilities to cater to.
Robert works as the caretaker of Norma Dellacorte's (Carol Burnett) mansion and he lives at the pool house until Maxine manages to oust him following a court case over Norma's conservatorship.
However, the way he carries himself around the mansion says a lot more about his personality. Robert is a military veteran who also served in Korea, which explains his confident and charming persona.
The creators of the show haven't yet delved much into why he works for Norma and his true connection with her.
What's the relationship between Norma Dellacorte and Robert Diaz in 'Palm Royale'?
