P Nation bids farewell to rapper D.Ark after he faces underage drinking accusations
Facing multiple accusations over the last few years, P Nation has decided that it is best to part ways with their 17-year old rapper, D.Ark (pronounced, The Arc). D.Ark rose to fame after participating in the Mnet rap survival show in the year 2018, ‘Show Me The Money 777’. When he took part in the show, he was only 15 years old (14 years old as per the International Age system), making him the second youngest contestant in the show's history. D.Ark lived in China for 10 years and was fluent in English, Korean, and Chinese while also being a member of the ‘Blue Alien’ rap crew.
D.Ark first made his debut in December of 2020 with his first digital single, ‘Potential’. He also released a mini-album, ‘EP1 Genius’ in May of 2021 while he was a contestant on other Mnet shows like ‘Show Me The Money 9’ and ‘High School Rapper 4’. Following D.Ark’s first appearance on ‘Show Me The Money 777’, he was involved in a sexual assault claim from his ex-girlfriend ‘A’ who was in her twenties when he was merely 15 years old.

D.Ark dropped from P Nation
Following the most recent accusations, the rapper has been under fire and his label P Nation has decided it is best to terminate their contract with the artist. Back in September of 2021, D.Ark was embroiled in an underage drinking scandal after he posted a video on his social media account in which eagle-eyed followers spotted alcoholic beverages in the background. Many fans of K-pop slammed the rapper for underage drinking while he rose to defend himself stating that the alcohol was not consumed by him but was meant for staff members.
D.Ark already soured public image after his sexual assault scandal from the year 2018 added fuel to the fire which led to many negative comments online against the rapper. On November 12, P Nation came out with their official statement stating that “D.Ark’s ‘exclusive’ contract with the agency had ended.” This meant that D.Ark was free to sign with any other label he wished to sign with in order to promote his future activities.
To make the termination of the contract seem amicable, P Nation said, “We will send our unstinting support for D.Ark’s upcoming new music journey, and we will support his future artistic career.”
Sexual Assault Allegations from 2018
Back in October of 2018, D.Ark’s ex-girlfriend ‘A’ posted accusations against the artist claiming that he had forced sexual relations with her. The gravity of the issue increased as screenshots of a deleted story were spread online that stated he had “raped” his girlfriend. His ex followed up on these “rape” allegations saying that she would say it was not ‘sexual assault’ but rather forced ‘sexual relations,’ negating her own words. This made it hard to pick sides.
In her statements, she said, “At first I said 'rape’ and refused to have sex, but later I admit that I had sexual relations with him because I recognized that we were lovers after having a genuine conversation.” Following the allegations, D.Ark himself posted an official apology on his Instagram. He explained his position and said, “I also want to bow in apology for causing the bad reputation around my personal life.”
