Bradley Cooper continued his streak of consecutive Oscar loss when he was nominated for Best Actor at the 2024 Academy Awards

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bradley Cooper's Oscar troubles continued March 10 night in Los Angeles, as the actor-filmmaker failed chances to win Academy Awards in three categories for his Leonard Bernstein biography 'Maestro'. Viewers quickly rushed to social media to mock the actor, whose Academy Awards losing skid now stands at double digits.

With his defeats as one of the producers of the Best Picture candidate, as well as Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay, Bradley's Academy Awards losing run has reached double digits, giving him a 0-12 record. At the 96th Academy Awards, 'Oppenheimer' won Best Picture, while the film's star, Cillian Murphy, won Best Actor, and the dramatic courtroom thriller 'Anatomy of a Fall' won Best Original Screenplay for co-writers Justine Triet and Arthur Harari.

On X, fans joked, "bradley cooper watching cillian murphy in oppenheimer." Another user chimed in, "on the bright side….. bradley cooper is now a 12 time #oscars loser." 

One pointed out, "BRADLEY COOPER SITTING DOWN WHEN CILLIAN MURPHY WON?!! FLOPPED!!!" A fourth user wrote, "Bradley Cooper brought his mom to watch him lose a 12th Oscar in a row."

Some threw jab saying, "Bradley Cooper lost YET ANOTHER award to Cillian Murphy. This is my personal #Oscars win tonight THE WORLD NEEDED THIS." Another wrote, "12 times academy award loser bradley cooper."

How many Oscars was Bradley Cooper nominated for? 

Bradley had lost nine consecutive Oscars before Sunday night's ceremony. He previously failed to win an Oscar for Best Actor in 'Silver Linings Playbook', 'American Sniper', and 'A Star is Born', as well as Best Supporting Actor in 'American Hustle'.

Bradley also missed out on winning the Best Picture Oscar as a producer for the candidates 'American Sniper', 'Joker', 'Nightmare Alley', and 'A Star is Born'. Bradley has never received a Best Director Oscar nomination, including for 'Maestro'.

As difficult as Bradley's 0-12 record at the Academy Awards may appear, he is not the only unlucky youngster with no Oscar victories. Sound designer Greg P. Russell has 0-16 in Oscar nominations, while songwriter Diane Warren is 0-15 after losing Best Original Song to the 'Barbie' song "What Was I Made For."

Diane's death this year was likely less painful than previously, given that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences granted the songwriting legend an honorary Oscar in November 2023 for her long-standing contributions to movies.
