'One Royal Holiday': Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about Hallmark's Christmas movie

The jingles and merriment of Christmas will be more amplified as Hallmark Channel has come up with cheerful films for the festive season. The movies will start running on the channel from October and shall continue till the year-end to our delight. Its impressive collection of movies has 'One Royal Holiday', a film which appears to be a cultural amalgam as two different worlds collide but in a joyous way.

Before we head to watch it, here is what we need to know about the exuberant film.

‘One Royal Holiday’ releases on Saturday, October 31, at 8 pm ET on Hallmark Channel.

Plot

The official synopsis of the film reads, “When Anna (Osnes) offers a stranded mother (Clark) and son (Tveit) shelter in a blizzard, she learns that they are the Royal Family of Galwick. Anna shows the Prince how they do Christmas in her hometown, encouraging him to open his heart and be true to himself."

Laura Osnes has become a famous face of Hallmark Channel as she has starred in films like ‘In the Key of Love’ and in ‘A Homecoming for the Holidays’ for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. 

The actress has an impressive portfolio of works in the field of television and theatre. Her television credits include ‘Dynasty’ (The CW), ‘Fosse/Verdon’ (F/X), ‘Elementary’ (CBS), and ‘Six by Sondheim’ (HBO) to name some. Some of her other notable credits include ‘Live from Lincoln Center: Bernstein on Broadway,’ ‘A Capitol Fourth’ (PBS), ‘Sondheim: The Birthday Concert’ and the ‘The 35th Kennedy Center Honors: A Celebration of the Performing Arts’ (2011).The actress will play the role of Anna in 'One Royal Holiday'.

Aaron Tveit is a theater, television and film actor. The actor most recently piloted the cast of stage production ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical’. The Grammy-nominated production premiered on Broadway in the summer of 2019 and Tveit received an Outer Critics Circle honor for his performance.

Tveit has done extensive work in films. Some of his notable credits include ‘Les Miserables’,’Out of Blue’, ‘Created Equal’, ‘Better Off Single’, and ‘Undrafted’ to name some. He has also worked in numerous television shows like ‘Graceland’, CBS comic-thriller ‘Braindead,’ ‘Grease: Live.’ The actor will play the role of James in ‘One Royal Holiday’.

Krystal Joy Brown is a multifaceted personality known as an actor and songwriter. Her most recent works include appearing as Eliza Hamilton in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning superhit musical theatre production, ‘Hamilton’. Previously, Brown has appeared in many Broadway productions. This includes ‘Rent’, ‘Hair’, ‘Leap of Faith’, ‘Big Fish’ and ‘Motown: The Musical’ to name some.

The two time Fred Astaire Award nominee, Brown has given some power-packed performances through her voiceovers. She voiced the role of Netossa in the DreamWorks/Netflix animated series, ‘She-Ra Princesses of Power,’ and will be seen in the upcoming Disney+ live-action feature film ‘Magic Camp’ with Adam DeVine and Gillian Jacobs. The actress will play the role of Sara in ‘One Royal Holiday’.

It boasts of a 100-year legacy that telecasts new original movies, features, and scripted primetime series. Some of its widely known series include ‘Good Witch’, ‘When Calls the Heart’ and ‘Chesapeake Shores’.
