'Nurses': Meet Tiera Skovbye, Natasha Calis, Sandy Sidhu and the rest of the cast of NBC's new medical drama
NBC's latest medical drama might have you hooked if you are into 'Grey's Anatomy'. The new Canadian show focuses on a group of nurses at a downtown Toronto hospital as they lose themselves to the chaos. Watch them as they work on the frontlines of human care. How do they keep at it? What keeps them going around the most difficult job? 'Nurses' arrives on NBC on December 7, 2020. But before that, meet the five nurses you are going to watch on the show.
Tiera Skovbye as Grace Knight
Canadian actress Skovbye plays the role of a young nurse Grace Knight, who is looking for a fresh start. Things are going fine until her past shows up and threatens to jeopardize her career. The actress is known for her work on 'The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story' as Elizabeth Berkley, Polly Cooper on 'Riverdale', and Robin on 'Once Upon A Time'. Most recently, she played the role of Betty Broderick in 'Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story'.
Natasha Calis as Ashley Collins
'The Possession' Calis plays the role of a wild and unapologetic adrenaline junky who lives for the fast pace of the hospital. The actress is also known for her role as Claire McDeere in 'The Firm'.
Jordan Johnson-Hinds as Keon Colby
As Keon, Jordan plays the role of a former college football star who is at the hospital working this demanding job in an attempt to prove himself. The actor is recognized for his work in 'Upload', 'Blindspot', 'Robocop' and 'Suits'.
Sandy Sidhu as Nazneen Khan
According to a press release from NBC, Punjabi descent actress Sidhu plays the role of the "whip-smart daughter from a wealthy family in India who moved to Canada to re-invent herself and is now starting her first job ever". The actress is known for her work on 'Arctic Air' 'Motive', Shattered', 'Primeval: New World', an episode of 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Legends of Tomorrow' and 'Home Before Dark'.
Donald Maclean Jr as Wolf Burke
Donald plays the role of the ultimate softie. But that might just be a veil behind which Wolf has a secret that may find him in over his head. The actor is known for his work on 'October Faction', 'The Things We Say', 'Wayne' and 'The Craft: Legacy'.
'Nurses' also has a supporting cast including Cathy White (best known for 'Vikings') in the role of Sinead O'Rourke, the head nurse and den mother of the new graduates, Ryan-James Hatanaka ('Chicago PD' actor) as Dr Evan Wallace, the charming head of the ER who gets all the nurses' attention — especially Grace; and Nicola Correia-Damude (from 'Shadowhunters') as Dr Vanessa Banks, the magnetic OBGYN with a cutting wit.
