NBC is bringing a new medical drama 'Nurses'. The Canadian show has received a lot of acclaim back home and follows the lives of fives nurses in a busy hospital as they try to keep their chaotic work and personal lives under control.

Plot
According to the official synopsis of the series, "Filmed and set in Toronto, the story follows five young nurses working on the frontlines of a busy downtown hospital, dedicating their lives to helping others, while struggling to help themselves.."
Cast
Tiera Skovbye as Grace Knight
As Grace Knight, Skovbye plays the role of a young nurse looking for a fresh start until someone from her past turns up who could jeopardize her career. The actress is best known for her roles of Elizabeth Berkley in Lifetime's 'The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story', Polly Cooper on 'Riverdale' and as Robin on ABC's 'Once Upon a Time'. Most recently, she is known for her role of the young Betty Broderick on 'Dirty John'.
Natasha Calis as Ashley Collins
Calis plays Collins, who is a wild and unapologetic adrenaline junky, living for the fast pace of hospital life. The actress is best known for her work in 'The Possession' and 'The Firm'.
Sandy Sidhu as Nazneen Khan
Sidhu plays the role of the whip-smart daughter from a wealthy family in India who moved to Canada to reinvent herself and is now starting her first job ever. The actress is known for her work in 'Grey's Anatomy'.
Jordan Johnson-Hinds as Keon Colby
As Keon Colby, the 'Blindspot' actor plays a former college football star who is trying to prove he's more than what he was on the field.
Donald Maclean Jr as Wolf Burke
As Wolf Burke, Donald plays a soft-hearted and playful man, who has a secret that may find him in over his head. The actor is known for his work on 'Workin' Moms'.
Meanwhile, Cathy White plays Sinead O'Rourke, the head nurse and den mother of the new graduates, Ryan-James Hatanaka plays the charming and attractive head of the ER who gets all the nurses' attention - especially Grace's, Dr Evan Wallace and lastly, Nicola Correia-Damude plays Dr Vanessa Banks, the magnetic OBGYN with a cutting wit who never lets Keon forget a mistake.
Creators
'Nurses' is created by much of the same team behind the series 'Rookie Blue' including Ilana Frank, Vanessa Piazza, Adam Pettle and Tassie Cameron. Jocelyn Hamilton and Linda Pope are executive producers, with Julie Puckrin as co-executive producer. The series is produced by ICF Films and eOne in association with Corus Entertainment, with the participation of the Canada Media Fund and the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit. eOne handles international distribution on the series.
