LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 32 kicked off with an exciting opening dance as all the couples from the latest installment alongside five finalists returned to the ballroom.

Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach, Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber, Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov, Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev, and Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy were the five finalists of 'DWTS' Season 32.

The contestants danced to 'Young Hearts Run Free' by Candi Staton, choreographed by Ray Leeper. Meanwhile, all five pairs of finalists arrived on a mirror ball hung in the air during the opening number.

Viewers seemed concerned for the finalists and slammed the ABC show for taking risks before their performances. A social media user commented, "I know they are all scared on the disco balls."

Another person added, "They were s**tting their pants on those balls istg my poor baby." Another X user tweeted, "I think putting the finalists on suspended disco balls - maybe not safe before they dance."

Another critic noted, "I’m scared for the up one those mirror balls omg." "Loved the opening number (that started half an hour into the show) except for the massive mirror balls - that was dumb," penned another viewer.

Another X user stated, "I’m sorry, but who thought the finalists hanging from the ceiling on giant mirror balls was a good idea? Lol they look so awkward." A person also, "Why y’all made them look like idiots on those disco balls."

'DWTS' Season 32 Finale features two exciting rounds

During the 'DWTS' Season 32 Finale episode, each couple graced the ballroom twice. The finale episode featured two exciting rounds, Redemption and Freestyle.

The scores and votes from 'DWTS' Season 32 semifinals would be carried over and combined with live viewer votes and judges' scores from the finale to determine which couple would win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

Supersized 'DWTS' Season 32 Finale receives backlash

After several weeks of intense performances and nail-biting eliminations, the 'DWTS' Season 32 Finale was finally announced. However, the finale episode was announced to be supersized, packed with a series of stirring performances from the finalists and returning contestants.

'DWTS' Season 32 judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough alongside hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough were also expected to grace the ballroom.

However, viewers fumed over the 3-hour Finale episode announced for 'DWTS' Season 32. A social media user tweeted, "Girl some of us have to work tm. We don’t have time for a 3 hour finale."

Another person added, "A 3 hour finale is crazy." Another critic noted, "Could easily take an hour away from this 3 hour finale if they didn’t do this unnecessary recap."

Another viewer said, "A 5 couple, 3 hour finale is excessive I just know it." Another X user penned, "The F**K you mean its a 3 hour #dwts finale some of us go to bed at 10:30pm."

Another follower commented, "Someone tell @ABCNetwork to stop with the 3 hour finales!!! No body has time for that!!!"
