While offering a glimpse of the entire team, the new poster also raised a few eyebrows, especially because Jes Macallan's Ava Sharpe is nowhere in sight.

If the last season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow was filled with mystery, action, and intrigue, then the first look of the upcoming season is sure to add up to the hype.

In addition to the introduction of the new faces, The CW show's latest season 4 poster, which was debuted via social media, left important clues regarding some of the missing characters.

"DC's #LegendsOfTomorrow Season 4 returns Mondays this fall on The CW!," read the description shared alongside the first-look teaser, inevitably sending fans of the show into an overdrive.

While offering a glimpse of the entire team, the new poster also raised a few eyebrows, especially because Jes Macallan's Ava Sharpe is nowhere in sight.

Instead, Maisie Richardson-Sellers - known for her role as Amaya Jiwe a.k.a. the Vixen - makes a prominent appearance in the poster. According to Screen Rant, another noteworthy absence in the first look photo is of Wally West or the Kid Flash, a role portrayed by actor Keiynan Lonsdale.

With so many questions surfacing right away, it's only fitting that the network clarified few aspects of the plot as far as season 4 is concerned. Thankfully for fans, the lengthy and detailed LoT synopsis does exactly that.

Other than explaining Constantine involvement in the next season, the wordy description (shared below, via Collider) also teases the real problems in the realms of magic, created in the wake of their battle with Mallus.

There are magical "fugitives" on the run, and the Legends better join forces before its too late.

Read the entire official synopsis here:

"After defeating the demon Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends are ready to ease off the gas. Sara (Caity Lotz) and her team join Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) and the Time Bureau to help clean up the last few remaining anachronisms. The job seems straightforward enough until Constantine (Matt Ryan) arrives to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with “Fugitives” – magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. As the Time Bureau is distrustful of and ill-equipped to deal with magic, the Legends must team up with everyone’s favorite demonologist to set history back on track."
