'New Amsterdam' Season 2 Episode 10: Iggy has a tough time ahead of him when the NBC show returns, will his husband take him back?

We refuse to believe that this perfect couple is breaking up, but we want to see how they work this major issue out when Season 2 Episode 10 of 'New Amsterdam' airs on Tuesday, January 14, on NBC

'New Amsterdam' has given us a bunch of characters that we have truly fallen in love with, and Dr. Iggy (Tyler Labine) ranks high among them.

In the previously aired Season 2 Episode 9 of the series, we saw that Iggy did something that his husband Martin (Mike Doyle) could not come to terms with, and the series had gone on a winter break with a huge question mark looming over their relationship.

We saw how Iggy wanted to have another child and even though Martin was against the idea he called up a social worker and requested the adoption.

We do not know how he was planning to cover his tracks but whatever it was did not go according to plan, because now there is a baby waiting to be taken home and Martin is furious with Iggy for going behind his back on such an important decision.

In fact, Iggy was not the only one to be down in the dumps when the finale aired, especially with Floyd (Jocko Sims) and Evie (Margot Bingham) reconsidering their engagement after the latter gets a too-good-to-be-true job opportunity that would make their relationship long-distance... again.

Meanwhile, Helen (Freema Agyeman) has seemingly truly hit rock bottom, after she loses her role as both the Deputy Medical Director and Oncology chair after she got arrested for trying to help out one of her patients with her pain using drugs.

While we are worried about all of them equally, the state of Iggy's affairs worries us because of how his marriage is the real OTP of the show, especially after Georgia's (Lisa O'Hare) death.

The fact that they are a gay couple, well into their middle age, in the limelight of a primetime NBC drama is already important enough politically, but the glimpses that we get of their relationship make us fall in love with them as individuals as well.

They have adopted a bunch of children, are present in their children's lives and are conscious of not making the same mistakes that their parents made.

We refuse to believe that this perfect couple is breaking up, but we want to see how they work this major issue out when Season 2 Episode 10 of 'New Amsterdam' airs on Tuesday, January 14 on NBC.
