With Many in the line, taking up the throne of the next James Bond and replacing Daniel Craig in the role is a task in itself. 'They're brilliant films'
In a recent interview, Egerton talked about the controversies and gently denied any rumors that have tied him to the franchise. The 'Black Bird' actor settled the rumors once and for all, and shared that the producers, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have already found the next Bond and that he won't be the right candidate for it, "Yeah. I mean, I think they've already got someone, and it's not me. I mean, I've never been a part of the conversations. I've never met the Broccolis. They've never enquired about me. I've just never been one of the guys that they're looking at. I just don't think I'm the right person for that. I think there's much, much, much better candidates for that role than me. But, you know, I'd be a very willing audience member. They're brilliant films" per Total Film (via Games Radar).
The 3 actors most likely to succeed as 007
Regé-Jean Page
The 'Brigerton' star charmed his way into people's hearts with his significant role in the Netflix period drama series. The new favorite who can probably ace the chase and the charm is Regé-Jean Page, with odds of just 2/1.
Henry Cavill
How can we not add Henry Cavill to the list? From charm to mystery, the 'Superman' and 'The Witcher' star has got everything and more. He's also no stranger to playing iconic British characters.
Idris Elba
Idris Elba found his first step to fame in the HBO drama series 'The Wire'. He's since landed numerous roles on the big and small screens. Regardless of the rumors that Idris Elba has dropped out of the running, we still have hope for him to be the next 007.
