Netflix unveils intense first-look for 'Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area' Part 2, fans say 'cannot wait'

The first six episodes of the Netflix Korean series premiered in June 2022 and the makers have finally released the first teaser for Part 2

‘Money Heist’ is one of those shows that took Netflix to a whole new level internationally. The Spanish-language series became a cultural phenomenon and broke several viewership records. The success of that show encouraged South Korea to adapt the series in their language and gave it a new twist with all the geopolitical tension between North and South Korea. Part 1 of ‘Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area’ ended with a massive cliffhanger as the authorities believed that they were very close to finding the real identity of the Professor.

Since then, fans have been waiting to see more updates from the series and when Part 2 is going to be released. Finally, we have some great news for the fans. Netflix Korea released the first teaser for Part 2 of ‘Money Heist: Korea’ during the 'TUDUM' event and it seems Captain Cha Moo-hyuk is not happy with one of his former colleagues. So, the teaser starts with a man trying to run away from Moo-hyuk and his men. The man reaches inside what looks like an old warehouse to save himself but the Captain makes sure that he is found.

The officer finds the man and punches him on his neck to put him down to the ground. Soon, we get to know that the man is a former colleague of Moo-hyuk and seems to have joined hands with some bad people or the Heist team. He requests the captain to spare his life, but Captain knows that he can’t do that. Before dying, the man, who is not named in the teaser, tells Moo-hyuk that the “time of the division has come to an end” and the people sitting at the higher positions in the government have already made their decision. He added, “People like us are just discarded after being used.” The clip ends with Captain brutally killing his former colleague.

The newly-released teaser makes us realize that Captain is in no mood to spare anyone who has come in contact with the Heist team and wants to end this as soon as possible. The direction is as sharp as it can get and the drama is also at its peak.



 

As of now, no release date has been announced for Part 2.

Fans got really excited after seeing the intense first look for Part 2 and shared that they can’t wait for the next batch of episodes to arrive on Netflix. One of the fans said, “First part was amazing, can’t wait for the second!! Money heist is def my fav show on Netflix fr.” Another fan noted, “THE SECOND HALF FINALLY.” Another social media user said, “Better than the original.” Another fan noted, “OMG FINALLY.”

The first six episodes of ‘Money Heist: Korea’ premiered in June 2022 and opened to positive reviews. The show stars Yoo ji-Tae (Professor), Park Hae-soo (Berlin), Jun Jung-seo (Tokyo), Kim Yunjin (Seon Woojin), Lee Won-jong (Moscow), Kim Ji-hun (Denver), Jang Yoon-ju (Nairobi), Lee Hyun-woo (Rio), Kim Ji-hoon (Helsinki), Lee Kyu-ho (Oslo), Park Myung-hoon (Cho Youngmin), Kim Sung-o (Cha Moohyuk), and Lee Joobeen (Yun Misun).

The series is helmed by Kim Hong-Sun and penned by Ryu Yong-Jae, Kim Hwan-Chae, and Choe Sung-Jun. Meanwhile, original series creator Alex Pina serves as an executive producer on the show.
