Decades after he was identified, he was tried in Israel for mass murder and crime against humanity. Netflix is about to bring you a killer docuseries titled' The Devil Next Door' which focuses on World War II and the atrocities of the Nazi regime. Here's all you need to know about it:

Plot
The World Wars might be a thing of the past, but its effects still continue to plague the society, especially those whose families have been wiped out during the Holocaust. ‘The Devil Next Door’ follows the story of John Demjanjuk, a Cleveland, Ohio resident, who was identified as the infamous guard at the Treblinka concentration camp in Poland. The retired Ukrainian-American autoworker had been living with his wife, children, and grandchildren in Cleveland, like a regular, next-door senior adult, going about his life, until a group of Holocaust survivors in the city saw his photograph and realized who he really was. It was decades after the world had finally gotten over the effects of war, but the Jews who lost their homes and near ones at that camp, could not forgive or forget. With events that followed, Demjanjuk was extradited to Israel and tried for his crimes, unraveling horrors of his crime and the war.
The limited series will take you through the finest details of exactly what went down in Treblinka and how Demjanjuk had a major role to play. The non-fiction story is accompanied by real footage of the war, the trial that took place in Israel, and the media frenzy which finally led to his death sentence in 2012.
