Netflix Tudum: 'Squid Game' creator Hwang Dong-hyuk drops eerie UNSEEN footage from Season 1
Netflix fan event Tudum hosted by Jamie Foxx has been the most highly watched fan event ever. This time it was bigger and better. Speaking of bigger and better, remember the 2021 release 'Squid Games'? Yes, the record-breaking Emmy-winning series has officially announced the renewal of the second season earlier this month. The story showcased hundreds of cash-strapped contestants accept an invitation to compete in children's games for a tempting prize, but the stakes were deadly, Some unseen footage from Season 1 has been released.
On the premiere page of the Netflix event, fans could barely keep calm as they were seen constantly commenting on the live chat section. The series' director, Hwang Dong-hyuk, disclosed the footage after he thanked fans from all around the world for propelling the huge success of 'Squid Game', which was watched for a ludicrous 2.1 billion hours on Netflix and was unfortunately moved to second place by 'Stranger Things' starring Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven.

The series has also received numerous accolades, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film for O Yeong-su and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for Lee Jung-jae and HoYeon Jung, respectively, with all three making history as the first Korean actors to win in those categories.
