NEW YORK, NY: The stupendous acting performance of Jamie Foxx has made us forget that he started his career as a comedian. But recently the actor reminded his fans that impersonations are his forte, when he delivered an impressive Donald Trump impression

'The Amazing Spiderman' actor appeared on the Rap Radar podcast to promote his latest Netflix movie 'Day Shift', which also stars Snoop Dogg, Dave Franco, and Peter Stormare in pivotal roles. During his appearance, the actor casually delivered an impression of the former US President’s signature hushed tone.

"There's a lot of great people on both sides," the two-time Oscar winner said while mimicking Trump’s hushed tone. "I know Harry-O. He's a great person. He couldn't vote for me at the time. Now he can vote for me once he gets out." While delivering the impression, Foxx was referring to Michael "Harry-O" Harris, the co-founder of Death Row Records, who was sent to jail in 1988 on attempted murder and kidnapping charges. Later, the prison sentence of the co-founder was commuted by former US President Trump, just before he left the president's office in 2021.

"I love Snoop D O Double G," Foxx-as-Trump continued. "Great person." Foxx got another chance to tickle our bones when the host of the episode, Elliott Wilson asked, "Do you love Death Row Records?" "I love Death Row Records. Excuse me! Excuse me!" he chastised the people in the room audibly laughing. "Fake news. I love Death Row."

Foxx also pivoted to another favorite Trump topic, Covid-19. "They tried to give me the virus," Foxx bellowed. "I beat the virus." In the end, he broke his character and said "He said 'they' tried to give him the virus. Who is they?" in his original voice.

The on-point impression left listeners and the people in the studio giggling. Many of those who had tuned in later flooded the internet with comments applauding Foxx. One tweet said, “Okay get this, they make a Donald Trump biopic, but he's played by Jamie Foxx. No makeup, no attempt to make him look different, no change to any other actor, he just looks like Jamie Foxx but sounds like Donald Trump and everyone rolls with it.”

“How does Jamie Foxx sound more like trump than the orange clown himself??” another tweet remarked. “Jamie Foxx is the most talented man on earth. Nobody can convince me otherwise.” said another Twitter user. “I love that people forget Jamie Foxx was a comedian because reminders come out now and then that he's hilarious.” said another Foxx fan who had heard the podcast. While reminding fans about his singing skills, another user stated, “Wow! Jamie Foxx is a man of rare talent. Forget about his brilliant acting and ability to sing just like Ray Charles. This caps it all.” Foxx has previously wowed fans with impressions of Dave Chappelle and Floyd Mayweather.
