'NCIS' Season 17 Episode 15 delayed: Spoilers, new air time and who is Sloane's 'secret admirer' this V-Day?

Much to our woes, there's no new episode of 'NCIS' Season 17 airing this week. Almost, as if sticking too close to the episode's title 'Lonely Hearts', the CBS procedural decided to leave fans lovely hearted for the week preceding Valentine's Day, but hey - the episodic plot might be a better fit for the coming week. At least that's what the spoilers suggest.

Even then, the delay remains inexcusable, so we'll try our best to explain just why Leroy Jethro Gibbs and co. were a no show this Tuesday.

We know the entire fandom has been worried sick about Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), ever since his hit and run case, but worry not, the show isn't mourning any big losses yet. This week's Tuesday also saw the broadcast of the 2020 State of the Union - coinciding with the procedural's scheduled air time slot on CBS. The special ceremony saw President Donald Trump address Congress through his highly anticipated speech, within a month of the impeachment controversy surrounding the sitting president of the United States.

So now fans will have to wait for the next week's Tuesday to greet the eponymous 'Lonely Hearts' of NCIS. According to the official synopsis of the episode, "The lead suspect in a murder investigation is a woman that Gibbs' friend met on a dating site." On the other hand, Gibb's potential romantic interest - Jacqueline Sloane "has a secret admirer on Valentine's Day." And we are praying it is Gibbs, who has finally mustered up the courage to ask her out because it's been very long overdue!

The episode is also expected to address the cliffhanger over the murder of Xavier Zolotov, as the previous one hinted that Leroy Jethro Gibbs could be behind it all. This comes after Zolotov had almost killed Torres in a car accident which has left us biting our nails for about a week now and another one coming to find out if our beloved Torres makes it out alive

'NCIS' Season 17 returns on Tuesday, February 11, at 8 pm only on CBS.
