Tonight on NIS: New Orleans, we lost our beloved Agent LaSalle who has wowed and amazed us with his exceptional skills as an NCIS team member ever since the show began six years ago.

In the most poetic send-off, we see LaSalle succumb to his wounds which he acquired while on duty, trying to save a friend's girlfriend and taking the bullets himself. As the official synopsis shares, "LaSalle hoped to avenge his brother’s murder by tracking a drug ring in Alabama he believes is responsible," and it is this very investigation that Agent Pride joins in to offer LaSalle the best of his expertise.

Pride and LaSalle go back a long time so it's no wonder that when it came to aid him in an investigation surrounding LaSalle's brother's death, Pride jumped at the chance. But even though Pride couldn't save LaSalle from his fate, he tries his best to make sure LaSalle received the best medical care to power him through the wounds and blood loss. It is touching that only after Pride and LaSalle had to split up in the course of their investigation that the latter suffered a barrage of gunshot wounds, and it was perhaps this that sparked a feeling of regret in Pride, which made him ensure that LaSalle received the best medical attention possible.

Sadly, even though the best hospital in their vicinity tried its best to save LaSalle, it was LaSalle himself who didn't want to be saved. Reeling under the impact of the massive blood loss he suffered, LaSalle's final words were about how he wants to go fishing with his younger brother Cade -- and soon after he uttered those words LaSalle flatlined, with Pride still by his side. LaSalle's storyline ended with his body being transferred to New Orleans so Dr. Wade could give him a proper autopsy and the rest of his team members vowing to seek justice for LaSalle in a true NCIS: New Orleans farewell.

'NCIS: New Orleans' season 6 episode 6 airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm only on CBS.
