James Pyle is turning out to be the underdog everyone should watch out for on Season 19 of 'The Voice'. After securing a chair turn from John Legend during the blind auditions, Pyle was all set to wow the coaches and fans during the battle round. For the round, he was pitted against four-chair turn recipient Cami Clune.

John chose the song 'Wicked Game' for the duo. With the guidance of John and guest coach Miguel, Cami and James perfected their performance of the song and were ready to take the stage. Cami dazzled the coaches with her dynamic control over her voice, as she effortlessly switched between high notes and low notes, while James's falsetto and raspy voice drew everybody in.

At the end of their performance, the coaches couldn't stop praising both singers. John had a tough decision to make on deciding who the winner of the battle round would be. He picked Cami because he felt that she had the same quality to her voice as Maelyn Jarmon, one of the previous season's winner from John's team.

After John announced his pick, James thanked the coaches for giving him the opportunity to perform on the show and was getting ready to leave the stage and the show when Blake Shelton stopped him. Blake then pressed the steal button and stole James from John's team onto his team, thus giving him another chance to stay on the show.

Fans were happy to see Blake swooping in to save James on the show and appreciated him for it. A fan tweeted, ".@blakeshelton #VoiceBattles love your steal!!!!!!! James is great." Another fan wrote, ".@blakeshelton #VoiceBattles finished watching u!!!! great move on James !!! as always Love you!"

Despite James losing to Cami, fans clearly seemed to have taken to him. A fan commented, "Cami was amazing but James' falsetto...damn! #TheVoice @camiclune vs @Jamespylemusic." Another fan expressed, "Um, no. James should've won that. I just don't see (or rather hear) all the hoopla with Cami. #TheVoice."

"James Pyle vs Cami Clune How do they always get such gorgeous harmonies? Love both their tones but that bite in his intrigues me and the way he navigates his range. Both have incredible instruments and control. #TheVoice #VoiceBlinds," expressed a fan.
