Cast
Dave Bautista
Former pro-wrestler and mixed martial artist Bautista stars in 'My Spy' as JJ, a former Special Forces soldier who has been recruited by the CIA. He's not exactly James Bond but then again, Bond never had to worry about being blackmailed by a fourth-grader.
Ken Jeong as JJ's boss David Kim
The American actor, comedian and physician will be playing the role of Bautista's boss in the film. The funny man was recently part of the judging panel on celebrity singing reality show 'Masked Singer'. Apart from that, he is known for his roles as Ben Chang on the NBC/Yahoo! sitcom Community (2009) and gangster Leslie Chow in 'The Hangover' (2009) Trilogy. He appeared in Michael Bay's Pain & Gain (2013), as Johnny Wu, a motivational speaker.
Bautista is joined on the cast by Chloe Coleman as the precocious Sophie, Parisa Fitz-Henley as Sophie's mother Kate and Kristen Schaal as JJ's partner Bobbi. Other cast members include Devere Rogers, Greg Bryk, Nicola Correia-Damude and Noah Danby.
Director
Peter Segal
Swiss film director Peter Segal, who serves as the director on 'My Spy', is best known for his hit comedy films like 'Tommy Boy', 'Anger Management', '50 First Dates', 'Get Smart', and 'The Longest Yard'. The movie was written by Jon and Erich Hoeber and produced by Segal, Bautista, Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Robert Simonds, Gigi Pritzker and Jonathan Meisner.
Trailer
Amazon released a trailer for 'My Spy' on May 7. The clip introduces JJ, an antisocial CIA operative who is extremely good at shooting first but not so good at asking questions later. The trailer also introduces Sophie, a precocious child who is bullied at school and yet is extremely smart and more than capable of running circles around a veteran like JJ.
