'My Spy': Meet Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman and rest of the cast of Amazon Prime action-comedy movie
There's a brand new action-comedy coming to Amazon Prime Video, titled 'My Spy'. It tells the story of a former soldier-turned-CIA operative who meets his match in a nine-year-old girl. It's a hilarious story of espionage, family, and high-stakes action driven by its cast of excellent actors. So before the film arrives, here's what you need to know about the cast of 'My Spy'.
Kristen Schaal as Bobbi
Schaal is an American actor, comedian, writer, and voice actor best known for her work on 'Bob's Burgers', 'Gravity Falls', and 'BoJack Horseman'. She will be playing Bobbi, a CIA tech operator who hero-worships her partner JJ (Dave Bautista) and joins him as he goes undercover to watch a family in Chicago.
Chloe Coleman as Sophie
Coleman is an 11-year-old child actor best known for her role as Skye Carlson on 'Big Little Lies'. She has had roles on multiple shows and is set to appear in James Cameron's 'Avatar 2'. In the movie, Coleman plays a precocious nine-year-old named Sophie who has recently moved to a new town and has trouble making friends until she busts JJ and Bobbi's spying operation and blackmails them into teaching her the art of espionage. And as it turns out, she's better at the job than they ever were.
Dave Bautista as JJ
Bautista is an American actor and legendary former pro-wrestler. The six-time world champion has built a successful career for himself in comedic roles from Drax the Destroyer in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' to the buddy cop movie 'Stuber'. He stars in 'My Spy' as JJ, a former US Special Forces soldier who joins the CIA. He's an antisocial agent with no subtlety whatsoever and a love for blowing stuff up. The movie follows him on an assignment in Chicago where he befriends Sophie and becomes a father figure for her, eventually also growing somewhat close to Sophie's mother Kate (Parisa Fitz-Henley). Other cast members in the movie include Devere Rogers, Greg Bryk, Nicola Correia-Damude, and Noah Danby, as well as Ken Jeong as JJ and Bobbi's boss at the CIA.
'My Spy' is scheduled to release on June 26, 2020.
