When Heather was four-and-a-half years old, she did not expect her life to change completely. Unfortunately, a car accident left her undergoing nearly 42 surgeries to make sure her foot would allow her to walk.

In today's episode (February 27) of 'My Feet Are Killing Me', Heather came to the show with the hopes that Dr Ebonie Vincent will be able to fix her feet.

Heather revealed that ever since she was a child, she had undergone many surgeries to make sure her foot would allow her movement but despite this, there are days when she finds it hard to walk properly as she feels sharp pain rushing through her body.

Heather explained that there are times when things are alright but when the pain strikes, they are hard to manage.

To make things worse, one side of Heather's foot does not have any feeling which makes it hard to understand even if her foot is bleeding. It usually happens because of the type of shoes she wears. Heather revealed that since her foot is deformed, there aren't many shoes that allow her to feel comfortable.

Talking to Dr Vincent, Heather explained that after she had the accident, the doctors decided to fix the joints to give her foot some form while taking the skin from her back to put in place the skin lost on the foot. While the surgery allowed her to have some form, it did not make her life easier.

Heather confessed that her goal is to wear heels one day while adding that she just wanted to live normally. Dr Vincent understood what Heather was going through and even though she was in shock to see her foot, she decided to help her out.

Dr Vincent suggested that it would be good for Heather to undergo another surgery which would mean that they would shape her bone that had been protruding out. Dr Vincent explained that the protruding bone was the reason that was causing her to have a wound on her foot and was associated with the numbness.

Meanwhile, she further said that Heather felt the pain because of her left foot, which was deformed, trying too hard to touch the ground. She explained that the foot moved inwards when it is not able to reach the ground.

Dr Vincent suggested that the best option here would be if Heather had another surgery. This would mean that she would have to have her 43rd surgery. Heather was worried but she knew that after living her life like this for nearly 32 years, she wanted to turn her life around.

She agreed to undergo surgery and Dr Vincent assured her that everything would be fine. Once into the surgery, Dr Vincent first shaped the bone that was protruding outside to make sure that she no longer has any wounds.

While shaping the bone was not an easy task, Dr Vincent ensured it was done with ease and precision. She managed to also take out the extra bone that had been causing her trouble and once done, she stitched her skin back.

After the surgery, Dr Vincent was sure that Heather would not feel pain like she usually did and was positive that her life could be better.

Dr Vincent also informed Heather that during the first week it would be a bit painful but assured her that it would eventually be fine. After a couple of weeks, Heather returned for a follow-up consultation. This time, Dr Vincent made sure that Heather had better footgear to help her with the support.

To add to the surprise, Dr Vincent gifted her a pair of heels that Heather could wear along with her shoe insertions. She felt emotional and happy that she was able to walk normally and better than before.
