'My Feet Are Killing Me': Accident costs Consuelo her foot that doctors advised amputating, can Dr Ebonie help?

The coronavirus pandemic has forced everyone to stay indoors but in times of uncertainty, one job that has to keep on going is that of doctors. Dr Ebonie Vincent appeared in the latest episode (October 8) of the show and decided to help Consuelo Garcia, a patient who had come with the hopes of getting her foot saved. 

When Garcia was a young girl, she was diagnosed with polio. The doctors informed her that she won't be able to walk again. However, with determination, she proved the doctors wrong. Garcia admitted she has always been a cheerful and bubbly person who would always make people laugh. Apart from entertaining people, Garcia loves to dance. She hopes to dance freely with her daughter one day. However, the only thing stopping her is the foot that was injured when she got into an accident. Speaking to Dr Ebonie, Garcia revealed she got into a car accident in 1999. 

The car accident had caused her foot to land under the peddle and broke her bones due to the pressure. The damage was so severe that the doctors at that time advised her to amputate her foot. However, this was not an option for Garcia. The doctors then decided to reconstruct her foot with whatever bones they could fix. Unfortunately, that was not enough to give her the complete look as she would have desired. As time passed, Garcia noticed that there were some areas on her foot that would pain. It reached a point that her toe would not touch the ground because of the way it was shaped after the surgery. 

When Dr Ebonine looked at the x-ray given by Garcia, she noticed there were a lot of bones that were not properly constructed. She hinted it might be the cause of pain. Once she started speaking to Garcia, Dr Ebonie soon realized what a jolly personality she had. Dr Ebonine revealed that there was a chance to fix the way her foot looked and that was through surgery. 

She revealed they would have to put an iron rod inside Garcia's foot to give it the shape that is needed. Dr Ebonine revealed there was a high probability she would be able to walk and dance freely once again. Garcia felt pleased to hear this and was looking forward to meeting her after the lockdown.
