Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston’s on-screen chemistry

‘Murder Mystery 2’ is held together with the amazing chemistry between Aniston and Sandler. The couple’s on-screen presence is great and brings out the best of the movie. The jokes are great and the chase sequence is even better as most of the movie is shot in the magical city of Paris.

When the couple’s friends invite them to an exotic wedding, the duo hops on the plane to embark on another exciting adventure. But if everything is alright, then there is definitely something wrong. On the musical night of the upcoming wedding, the groom (Adeel Akhtar) gets kidnapped and all the clues point toward Audrey and Nick, making them a suspect.

The couple, who is best known to solve a case with Interpol in the last movie, takes it upon themselves to solve this mystery. But as the movie progresses, the couple finds themselves in a bigger mess than before. The movie slowly brings out a third villain and quite successfully blindsides the audience.

The villain turns out to be Miller (Mark Strong), who is also Nick and Audrey’s inspiration behind their investigative work. Miller is a former MI6 hostage negotiator who specializes in high-profile cases. But the twist is that Miller isn’t even the actual villain, he is just there for the ransom money. The couple defeats him with a quite phenomenal chase down the Eiffel Tower. But by the end of the movie, the villain is unmasked and turns out to be an insider.

Will there be ‘Murder Mystery 3’?

The movie rolls the credits before showing Nick and Audrey standing near Pont des Arts overlooking the Eiffel Tower when a man sent by the Maharajah gives them a big suitcase filled with money along with a helicopter to travel anywhere they want and fulfill their dream of having an international honeymoon. But, in a twist of fate, the man sent by the Maharajah steals the money and jumps off the helicopter, leaving the couple dumbfounded. The film ends with a cliffhanger and leaves a trace that there will be another addition to the story of Nick and Audrey.

‘Murder Mystery 2’ is now exclusively available to watch on Netflix.
