Donny Dust
Donny Dust and his best buddy and fellow world-class survivalist Ray Livingston, will tackle some of the world's most isolated locales and construct a primitive paradise using their unequaled wit and outdoor creativity in USA's four-part adventure series 'Mud, Sweat and Beards.' Dust is a Marine Corps veteran who is widely regarded as a specialist in distant primitive survival, ancient/historical technology, lithic arts (flintknapping), adaptive survival, and disaster preparedness. His passion for old methods of life extends beyond theory and assumption to genuine living in the wild. Dust's in-person classes focus on isolated primitive life, ancient survival techniques, and ancestral technologies and customs, drawing on his wide experience. Clients come from all over the world, including the United Kingdom, South America, Canada, and Australia. Dust has written two books ("Scavenger" and "Earthroamer"), served as a technical consultant on feature films, appeared on numerous television shows, conducted numerous podcasts and radio appearances, and spoken in front of crowds who have traveled from all over the world to hear him speak and learn about his wild adventures. Dust, also known as the professional caveman, is a professional, adventurous, and creative individual.
Ray Livingston
Ray Livingston, the co-star, was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, until he was in middle school when his family relocated to rural Gresham, Oregon. At the University of Oregon, Livingston was an All-American track and field athlete who competed on three USA track and field teams. He often found himself alone in the woods because of his high level of athleticism, and he was the only one ready to dive into gorges and climb steep slopes in quest of a game. His urge to study primitive survival techniques grew out of these encounters, giving him the courage to venture farther into the forest alone. Livingston has been on the History Network's 'Alone' and the National Geographic Channel's 'Called to the Wild' since then. Livingston holds primitive talents in high regard and encourages people to learn and use them. He considers himself a modern survivalist, though. While he feels that basic skills are useful and worthwhile to learn, he also believes that using modern conveniences and technology is acceptable.
