MTV VMAs 2021: Olivia Rodrigo bags Best New Artist in third award of the night
MTV Video Music Awards 2021 is one of the biggest annual events all music lovers look forward to. From glitz and glamor reigning on the red carpet to the best new musical talents being awarded, there is no room for doubt that the VMAs will set the stage for the coming musical year. The Best New Artist has always been a category everyone eagerly looks forward to every year, as it has played a significant role for years in propelling a newcomer artist into prominence.
With last year's winner Doja Cat hosting the award show this time, the tension was palpable between 2021 top contenders Olivia Rodrigo, Saweetie, The Kid LAROI, 24kGoldn, Giveon, and Polo G. Ultimately, the award was bagged by Olivia Rodrigo and fans could not be happier. After all, it was the third award of the night for the 'Good 4 u' hitmaker after Song of The Year for 'Driver's License' and Push Performance of the Year.

The 18-year-old 'High School Musical' star stole the show at the VMA awards and fans are already rooting for her to sweep the upcoming Grammy Awards as well.
