MTV Video Music Awards 2021 is one of the biggest annual events all music lovers look forward to. With last year's winner Doja Cat hosting the award show this time, the tension was palpable between 2021 top contenders Olivia Rodrigo, Saweetie, The Kid LAROI, 24kGoldn, Giveon, and Polo G. Ultimately, the award was bagged by Olivia Rodrigo and fans could not be happier. After all, it was the third award of the night for the 'Good 4 u' hitmaker after Song of The Year for 'Driver's License' and Push Performance of the Year.

The 18-year-old 'High School Musical' star stole the show at the VMA awards and fans are already rooting for her to sweep the upcoming Grammy Awards as well.

"Wonder what olivia rodrigo is going to wear to accept her grammys next year," a fan tweeted. Another celebrated her win, writing, "I hope you know how proud i am you were created, with the courage to unlearn all of their hatred. God, i hope that your happier today. cause i love you, and i hope that ur ok. YOUR 3 VMA AWARD WINNER, OLIVIA RODRIGO!!!!!"

A third fan said, "Do you pronounce olivia rodrigo or "3 time VMA winner" #VMAs."
