While everyone was having a good time, it looks like Conor McGregor got a little pissed off and tried to pick a fight with Machine Gun Kelly

After remote performances in 2020 due to the unfortunate global lockdown, the 2021 edition of MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) returned with a bang with a Live audience at the Barclays Center in New York. K-pop icons BTS picked up one of the earlier awards with Group of the Year whereas Olivia Rodrigo too grabbed Song of the Year for her single ‘drivers license’.

Celebrities like Megan Fox, LiL Nas X, Doja Cat, and Normani got all the eyeballs for their stunning red carpet outfits. While everyone was having a good time, it looks like Conor McGregor got a little pissed off and apparently got into a scuffle with Machine Gun Kelly. Pictures showing the heated atmosphere made it further clear that all was not good between the two. McGregor was clicked in a bad mood as Machine Gun Kelly maintained his calm. Social media users rushed to Twitter to troll the UFC star for the same as McGregor quickly grabbed a spot on the trending list.

Conor McGregor vs Machine Gun Kelly

McGregor, who got decked up in a bright pink suit for the evening, appeared as if he was lunging at the rapper. However, before anything could happen, people stepped in to separate the two. McGregor tried his best to reach for Kelly but failed as he got held back by the security. The pictures clearly showed how McGregor looked all furious and willing to attack. McGregor was reportedly present at the ceremony to present an award. It is yet unknown as to why he tried to pick a fight with the musician.

Speaking of the event, MTV Video Music Awards 2021 saw a thrilling performance from Madonna as she opened the coveted ceremony. Justin Bieber returned to the award show after a gap of six years. He is leading the pack with seven nominations followed by Megan Thee Stallion with six nods whereas, teen sensation Billie Eilish managed to score five nominations.

Social media users could not help but troll the UFC fighter. One user stated, “WTF is Conor McGregor doing at the VMAs? LMAOOO.” Whereas, another shared, “Wait, I'm sorry did I just see a photo of Conor McGregor confronting Machine Gun Kelly at the VMAs?!?” The next one posted, “I’m surprised they don’t like each other considering their love of crazy a** blazers.”

Meanwhile, another shared, “Conor McGregor picking a fight with Machine Gun Kelly at the VMAs is f**king hilarious, oh how the mighty have fallen.” Another user added, “Conor McGregor, I love you, but WHY the hell do u have to come and punch Gun Kelly right at the #VMAs?! MTV Video Music Awards 2021 was held on September 12, 2021, at Barclays Center, New York City in front of a live audience. The 40th edition of the awards ceremony began at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT and was aired live on CTV.
