LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'MTV Movie & TV Awards' 2023 have been all the hype for different reasons this year, and by the looks of it, despite not being televised live, they are getting the internet’s attention! Live actions are a hit and a miss, and while ‘The Little Mermaid’ has been much-anticipated, the internet isn’t too thrilled about the most recent sneak peek at the ‘MTV Movie & TV Awards’ 2023.

Undoubtedly, the never-ending discourse of whether classics need newer renditions with a switch-up will continue as ‘The Little Mermaid’ makes its way to viewers’ screens, with Halle Baliey playing the role of Ariel. Right now, the internet is focused on the 55-second clip that’s making rounds on the internet, and they have not held back!

‘Woke s**t again, just a wild guess’

It is safe to say that viewers are all over social media as they try and keep up with the 'MTV Movie & TV Awards' 2023. One clip that caught everyone’s attention is a sneak peek of ‘The Little Mermaid’. While this might come as a shock to some, ‘The Little Mermaid’ with Halle Bailey, Melissa McCarthy, Jonah Hauer-King, Simone Ashley, Jacob Trembley, and Jessica Alexander, isn’t being showered with love and appreciation right now. Especially not amid the 'MTV Movie & TV Awards' 2023, which has viewers taking over the official accounts of ‘MTV Movie & TV Awards and ‘The Little Mermaid’. One viewer writes, “This movie is gonna fall soooooooo hard. Sad.” As another comment on the changes made in the upcoming movie, “Woke s**t again, just a wild guess.”

Some people have taken a hit to Disney and all their remakes altogether as they write, "Disney resellers deserve one thing and it's to be barred from purchasing anything ever for the rest of their lives that isn't a necessity to live.” The internet most certainly feels very strongly towards this little sneak peek of ‘The Little Mermaid’. While some are mad at Disney, others are mad at the casting; one person on Twitter even calls it, ”a total snoozefest.”

Most people on the internet have boo-d away ‘The Little Mermaid’ ahead of its release as one viewer writes, “Not watching this c**p” while another says, "Horrible", which is followed by a slurry of thumbs down emojis. It seems that the majority of viewers have some very strong feelings about ‘The Little Mermaid’ already, and we have 'MTV Movie & TV Awards' 2023 for stirring these emotions up!
