LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Disney is on a journey to create every possible live-action movie of animated hits that graced our childhoods. The upcoming movie 'The Little Mermaid' is to be released on 26 May, but the movie has been the talking point of many conversations as the narrative of the film is quite different from the original end. A new video has been released and we can see Melissa McCarthy's new look playing the iconic antagonist Ursula. The new look of Melissa McCarthy's Ursula has been making the rounds and while some fans are happy the actress is playing the character and killing it, some are against the idea of ruining classic movies.

Along with Melissa McCarthy's Ursula, 'The Little Mermaid' will see many upcoming artists like Halle Bailey as the lead Ariel, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Simone Ashley as Indira, and Jacob Tremblay as Flounder.

'Can’t wait for them to ruin another classic'

Fans are quite furious about the entire remake ritual that has been making rounds. While some fans are trashing Disney for remaking their childhood favorites, some are stating that Melissa McCarthy is the most overrated actress. One user pointed out, "Melissa hella overrated. This is terrible," with another going in with, "I speak for everyone when I say we will not be watching live action Disney remakes." Another user chimed in the conversation chain and said, "Can’t wait for them to ruin another classic. Seriously have any of the live action movies been good?" to which a fellow user replied, "The 1989 movie is still available on disney plus lmaoo go watch that." While some users stated angrily, "Wish her career would just end. She’s the reason I hate this movie without seeing it." While one user just wrote, "Trash." While one user wrote, "Holy f**k that looks terrible."

'I just wished she looked more scary'

One user wrote, "I just wished she looked more scary/menacing," while another wrote, "She’s needs some prosthetics to give her that big under chin," a third user pointed out the failed CGI and wrote, "I LOVE this but the background does look very "sitting on a green screen" but she lewks FANTASTIC and those practical octopus arms for her to rest on are *chefs kiss.*" Another user wrote a convincing statement pointing out the fact that a drag queen should have been played the character Ursula and added, "I love Melissa McCarthy, but let’s be real… a drag queen should’ve played Ursula. Especially because of its backstory and because they inspired the villain on divine. Ginger minj should’ve played her. They probably didn’t want to give such a high budget role to a drag queen."
