NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Mr and Mrs Smith' seems to be getting better with each episode. What started as an average watch is finally catching up with the audience's anticipation.

The first episode introduced us to the central characters- John Smith (Donald Glover) and Jane Smith (Maya Erskine), two spies who are put together to carry out risky missions while pretending to be a married couple.

As they successfully complete their first mission, they begin to open up to each other.

What is the second mission of the Smiths?

The second episode, 'Second Date', brings a new challenge for the Smiths where they have to attend a silent auction, identify the highest bidder of Warhol silver car crash, administer a dose of Truth serum on the target, and record the information from him.

However, the task comes with a special warning- "No casualties and absolutely no witnesses."

John and Jane identify the target- Mr Erik Shane (John Turturro), a real estate mogul with weird fantasies, lonely life, and insane wealth. However, chaos follows when the Smiths kill him by accidentally overdosing him.

Moments before his death, he mentions that everyone (government/First Nations) wants the same thing from him but doesn't say what it is!

The Smiths dispose of his body and leave an update about the completion of the mission.

Do the Smiths get into trouble?

Towards the end of the second episode, we see Jane and John getting romantically involved. Meanwhile, they get feedback that their second mission has been marked "incomplete" since they failed to adhere to one of the important rules- "No casualties."

The message further reads, "2 fails remaining."

The update hints that things are about to get messier and riskier for the Smiths. Is this a 'do or die' situation for John and Jane?

What's the ultimate aim of these missions? The answers are waiting to be discovered in the upcoming episodes.

'Mr and Mrs Smith' is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
