If June saw the release of 'Mr Jones', a heck of an investigative journalism thriller starring James Norton, there's a new flick on the block titled 'Most Wanted', which is all set to release this Friday, July 24 on VoD. Directed by Daniel Roby, the Canadian crime thriller is inspired by the true story of Alain Olivier who spent time in a Thai prison after being framed as a pawn in an espionage plot. The film released as 'Target Number One' in Canada is all set to release as 'Most Wanted' in the US.

'Most Wanted' will release Friday, July 24 on VoD.

Plot

'Most Wanted' follows investigative journalist, Victor Malarek (Hartnett) as he uncovers a shocking entrapment case while Daniel (Antoine Olivier Pilon) is forced into a drug deal and is sentenced to 100 years in a Thai prison. The onus is on Malarek to not just expose the conspiracy, but also to fight for Daniel's freedom.

Hartnett is best known for starring roles in the war epic 'Pearl Harbor', 'O', 'Black Hawk Down', the romantic comedy '40 Days and 40 Nights', and the crime thriller 'Lucky Number Slevin'.

Crew made her debut with 'Final Destination 3'. She was known for playing Monica Hall on the HBO sitcom 'Silicon Valley'.

Antoine Olivier Pilon as Daniel Léger

The 23-year-old Canadian actor for the 2014 drama, 'Mommy' directed by Xavier Dolan. He also starred in 'Junior Majeur' (2017) and 'Before We Explode' (2019).

Daniel Roby serves as the writer and director. Valérie d'Auteuil and André Rouleau come in as producers.
