NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: After the Iowa State Fair, ‘Morning Joe’ hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough addressed Republican Vivek Ramaswamy’s statement on pardoning Donald Trump if he were President.

On August 16, ‘Morning Joe’ played clips of interviews that presented Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, and Senator Tim Scott. The focus, however, remained on Scott, as an exasperated Scarborough called out his actions.

After this, ‘Morning Joe’ posted a quote from Scarborough from this particular segment, which led to several fans agreeing with the hosts, and slamming Scott.

In an interview, Scott was asked about Trump’s fourth indictment. However, instead of talking about Trump, he made a remark on the weaponization of the Justice Department. To this, Scarborough said, “He doesn’t want to answer the question.”

Scarborough also mentioned that if Scott was willing to sit back and excuse somebody like Trump, then he was not “fit to be president of the United States.”

Scarborough admitted that he actually “likes” Scott, and then proceeded to say “Not if he does that.” ‘Morning Joe’s official X account, also took a small extract from the segment.

Their tweet read, "Seriously, when are you going to get serious about running for President of the United States, and telling the truth about the guy you're running against?"— @JoeNBC calls out Trump's GOP rivals for excusing Trump's actions.”

After Scarborough’s comments on Trump’s GOP rivals, and especially Scott, ‘Morning Joe’ fans and viewers trashed the senator. One person wrote, “Tim Scott doesn’t have the courage to stand up and face facts."

Another tweeted, “Our friend Tim Scott here is going nowhere.”

Some people believe Scott has "disqualified" himself as they tweeted, “Scott disqualified himself with recent remarks at the Iowa Fair.”

Agreeing with Scarborough, a person wrote, “If Tim, can’t tell the truth about 97 charges and 4 indictments, how could he ever tell the truth to Americans about a natural disaster or a constitutional crisis?”

Some have expressed genuine disappointment towards Scott, much like Scarborough did, as one person tweeted, “It’s too bad. I thought he was one of the few left with integrity. Apparently, it’s all fake.”
