NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On August 16, Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough took over ‘Morning Joe’ for a segment on Donald Trump and his attorneys, who were allegedly never paid for their work of defending the former President.

In this particular segment, Brzezinski and Scarborough took the liberty to mock Trump, as well as those who defended him.

There was a hint of humor, sarcasm, and much more as the couple reported MSNBC’s latest reports about Trump following his fourth indictment, along with that of 18 co-defendants.

Trump was also called “the great pumpkin” and “big orange pumpkin” by Scarborough and Brzezinski as they delivered the morning news on ‘Morning Joe.’

Mika Brzezinski started the segment by looking straight into the camera with a serious expression as she declared, “Several of the attorneys who represented Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election were never paid for their work.”

Joe Scarborough turned to his co-host and wife with a shocked expression as he said, “What? Did they not know this going in?”

Both the co-hosts were seen trying to hold back a snicker as Brzezinski responded, “They were just so excited to be with him.”

As Brzezinski and Scarborough continued the sarcastic banter, Scarborough said, “You mean the great pumpkin doesn’t rise from the pumpkin patch, every Halloween evening?” To which Brzezinski responded, “That big orange pumpkin.”

After they joked around a little, Brzezinski finally began to read out the official reports of testimonies that proved Trump’s attorneys were not compensated.

Brzezinski also pointed out, “I feel like we can have…we can make fun of this a little bit. You know I don’t like it when Donald Trump has taken advantage of people.”

She then proceeded to explain that “there were innocents in this” but “these lawyers” were “not one of them.”

MSNBC shares clip from 'Morning Joe'

MSNBC’s official Twitter account posted a clip of this segment where Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough both made fun of Donald Trump and the attorneys who defended him.

The tweet read, “Several attorneys who helped defend Trump's 2020 election lies were never paid. But you know who did get compensated?”

The tweet answered the question, adding, “The Trump campaign, which raked in $250 million off of the former president's claims that the election was rigged.”
