Internet divided over 'Money Heist' spin-off prequel 'Berlin'

The reception of the 'Berlin' spin-off from 'Money Heist' has been a mixed bag, with a notable share of negative reactions echoing through the online discourse.

Some viewers expressed profound disappointment in the overall concept, going so far as to deem it "mid" and questioning the relevance of robbing a central bank in the modern era.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, some viewers found the show extremely thrilling, even showering praises on Pedro Alonso, who played the role of Berlin.

Netizens flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to drop their take on 'Berlin' as one said, "Money Heist is incredibly mid and incredible my stupid. Who the heck robs a central bank in this era. Cops should have let them walk away with the money. They also have a ‘professor’ in their crew."

One furious viewer slammed the English voice stating, "Is there a reason why the English voiceover for Berlin has changed? It's quite off-putting for him to have a different voice." Another viewer wrote, "The only thing that was stolen is my time!! Not even close to money heist. Waste of time!"

Some even compared 'Berlin' to 'Money Heist' writing, "Just watched all episodes. It was good but not impressive like Money Heist." One user simply said, "Just finished watching this horse s****t."

Well, 'Berlin' also received its fair share of positive reactions from fans as one praised Pedro Alonso saying, "Berlin from money heist is a top actor. top top actor." Another said, "My expectations were low but I’ll say y’all did your little thing once again! Love it."
