'Modern Family' Season 11 will see Gloria change her focus from home to career

The upcoming Season 11 of the show will portray a different side of our favorite feisty Colombian mamma, as revealed by showrunner Christopher Lloyd.

Gloria Pritchett played by the beautiful Sofia Vergara on ‘Modern Family’ was always a full-time mamma bear, who went above and beyond to ensure that her children - Manny (played by Rico Rodriguez) and Joe (Jeremy Maguire) had everything they needed and was always there to coddle them with love and care.

The upcoming Season 11 of the show will show a different side of our favorite feisty Colombian mamma. The show’s co-creator, Christopher Lloyd, teased fans in an interview with some interesting bits of what we can expect from the hit sitcom's final season. Lloyd revealed that Gloria would be dipping her feet into the professional world and find some success. Gloria will be going back to school to hone her professional skills for entering the competitive world of real-estate. She finds great success in her new endeavor and becomes a legend of sorts amongst the realtors of the area.

She will be teaming up with her son-in-law, Phil and taking the real-estate world by storm. Lloyd revealed, “Jay is looking at his wife becoming more career-oriented. Gloria's gone back to school for real estate and she's a unicorn in that she takes to it instantly. She becomes a little bit of a legend in local real estate circles and ultimately forms a partnership with Phil. It kind of reminds Jay about what starting a business was like and what he misses about not being in Closet World. He's torn; he enjoys spending time at home with his young son and Manny but still has some fire in his belly left.”

We can’t wait to see Gloria charming her clients into buying some beautiful homes. It will also be interesting to see how she balances between her role as a mother and a successful realtor, considering she is such a hands-on parent.

‘Modern Family’ Season 11 premiers on September 25, at 9/8c only on ABC.
