When ABC first premiered ‘Modern Family’ in 2009, it didn’t just offer the realm of entertainment like yet another sitcom but gave us a show that would be remembered for many years to come. After ruling television for more than a decade, the series is soon coming to an end, as Season 11 finale is scheduled to air on April 8.

Christopher Lloyd’s brilliant creation ran high on its many intrigues besides the unusual kinships, which helped the series and the characters to achieve an identity of their own. However, as the series progressed, the viewers noted that it had turned too predictable to keep their attention intact.

And, when the creators surprised us with yet another season after it was strongly predicted that the series would end with the previous one, viewers set high expectations for the ‘Modern Family’ finale.

However, it seems like that last few episodes have left fans disappointed as they hoped to witness something more enthralling, given the reputation ‘Modern Family’ holds.

While one fan noted on Reddit, “Is anyone else disappointed with theses last two episodes? I feel it’s heading towards another, ‘meh” ending. What was with the random neighbor across the street that just showed up in this last episode?”

“It certainly wasn't a great one, which is too bad because I thought the last few leading up to it were actually pretty decent. This episode highlighted one of my issues with the show of late — they made Hailey a mother but her kids are only ever around when it's convenient. In this episode, she threw an easter egg hunt for her kids but I don't believe they were even in the episode. Just lazy writing,” another added.

Still, some of the dedicated fans have gone ahead and shared their thoughts on how ‘Modern Family’ Season 11 should rather end.

While one fan who pointed at the much-talked-about moment from the last episode when Jay Pritchett and Manny Delgado share a wholesome father-son moment, shared, ”I feel like it was leading up to Jay passing in the finale, with Manny and him having something they could enjoy together. Especially making the date to do it once a month.”

Another said, “That is all I could think about. The last episode, when they were looking at the new house, I thought it was just a ploy to make them decide to accept the kid. I didn't think they'd actually move. I felt like the current house was pretty realistic for their income. They're always talking about money troubles. I'm not really sure where they are now, financially, but a new baby and a new smart house is going to be pretty pricey.”

‘Modern Family’ Season 11 finale airs on April 8 on ABC.
