LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Every year, a number of people go missing under mysterious circumstances. What follows is an extensive search and investigations carried out by the police and those close to the missing person. In some cases, the person is found while in others, they are presumed to be dead after years of arduous investigations yield nothing. The Netflix's docuseries ‘Missing: Dead or Alive?’ will revisit such cases and explore them from various angles.

‘Missing: Dead or Alive?’ is a true-crime docuseries that will tell the stories of people who have gone missing and what tok place after that. One of the cases discussed is of Sierra Stevens, a South Carolina teenager who went missing in September 2021 and was found days later. According to the police investigation, she was last seen on September 5 that year, leaving her Stanford Street home on foot. She had not been in contact with her family and friends, and had issues that required medical attention.

Who is Sierra Stevens?

Stevens is a 17-year-old who went missing on September 5, 2021. She was described as 5-ft-2, with blonde hair, weighing approximately 110 pounds. At the time she went missing, she was dealing with medical problems that required treatment. The police deputies from Richland County found Stevens safe and sound in October 2021. She is back with her family and is receiving medical treatment.

What is the plot of 'Missing: Dead or Alive?'

'Missing: Dead or Alive?' follows the Missing Persons Unit of a South Carolina sheriff's department as they search for individuals who have gone missing under troubling circumstances. The first episode of the series is about a missing woman who investigators believe might be in danger. They find concerning details that prompt them to take action.

'Missing: Dead or Alive?' will release exclusively on Netflix on May 10.
