Even though we are still trying to fight the ongoing pandemic, people are trying to adjust to the new normal. Some events are taking place but of course with utmost safety protocols in place. That is what is being followed at the Miss USA 2020 show. Abiding by all the regulations of the pandemic, the showrunners have planned three nights of entertainment.

The event, which will be telecast on social media channels of the organizers, will be held at Elvis Presley Mansion. The Miss USA contest will air at 7 pm on Monday, November 9, on the A+E Networks' FYI cable channel. Allie LaForce, former Miss Teen USA and sports reporter, will be hosting the pageant along with television host Akbar Gbaja-Biamila. Cheslie Kryst and Christian Murphy will act as backstage commentators, giving the viewers an inside update of the event.

Glamour reported that the Miss USA organization is overcoming the problems created by Covid-19 by introducing extensive safety protocols. The organization worked with the guidance of Jeff Davidson, MD, an emergency department physician in Las Vegas who is also the chief medical physician for UFC. He is working with the local Shelby County, Tennessee, government, where Graceland is located.

According to the doctor, safety protocols include pretesting, onsite testing and quarantine, daily health screening, social distancing and stable small groups, reduced audience capacity and the use of masks by everyone at all times.

The report stated that one exception to the mask rule is that when the women are on stage, they won’t be wearing masks. Twitter was also discussing the changes. Miss USA tweeted a video from backstage where the contestants are seen wearing masks and applying sanitizers. They wrote: “Spread love, not germs!” A user wrote: “I Read The Bios Of Each Of The State Representatives. Charming, Dynamic Women. I See Them On The Stage Wearing Black, With The Black Face Masks, & I Say 'They Look Like Ninjas'."

Another said, “Major kudos to the Miss Universe Organization for hosting #MissUSA masks for all delegate and audience members, Covid-19 rapid tests and sanitizer everywhere.” Another said, “Safety first... Face with medical mask. Miss USA 2020 selection committee are wearing customized masks for their protection from Covid-19 and the audience too.”
