‘Parasite’ was one of the biggest international films of 2019. It went viral for all the right reasons and was even acknowledged by industry experts as it swept the award season at all of the major award shows like the Oscars, BAFTA, SAG, Blue Dragon, Cannes, Golden Globes, you name it. But the genius behind it, Korean director Bong Joon-ho is no stranger to Hollywood. Previously, he had worked on the Chris Evans-starrer ‘Snowpiercer’ and ‘Okja’ along with globally popular Korean dark and horror films ‘Mother’ and ‘The Host’. And now he has roped in Robert Pattinson.

In early 2022, there were rumors that Hollywood’s current favorite, Robert Pattinson had been roped in for Bong Joon-ho’s next film, 'Mickey7'. It would be the Korean director’s first directorial project in two years following the success of ‘Parasite’ and expectations are soaring. Well, on February 18, we have got confirmation. Pattinson, who is currently promoting his latest flick, ‘The Batman’ in which he plays the DC superhero was interviewed by the Korean press for its release in South Korea.

Robert Pattinson confirms film with Bong Joon-ho

In the live conference for ‘The Batman’ at the CGV Yongsan Park Mall, Robert Pattinson shared that he would indeed be working with Bong Joon-ho on his next project and was looking forward to it. The Korean maestro’s next film, 'Mickey7' is a partnership with Warner Bros and is adapted from the American sci-fi novel ‘Mickey7’, which was published in February 2022. It follows the life of Mickey’s seventh clone far into the future and navigating his fate which, he learns from Mickey8, is already set out for him.

Fans are excited to see Robert Pattinson who is expected to play multiple roles as Mickey.
