'Merry Happy Whatever': Release date, plot, cast, trailer, and everything you need to know of Netflix's new holiday comedy series

With only 50 days left for Christmas, Netflix is here with a treat for all. Towards the end of November, the platform is all set to release its original show, 'Merry Happy Whatever.'

The series will premiere on Netflix on November 28, 2019.

Plot:

The plot revolves around Don Quinn, an iron-willed patriarch from Philadelphia. With holidays closing in, he is trying to manage the stress of the holidays to meet the demands of his close-knit family and they too are doing their best to manage him. His youngest daughter Emmy arrives home from LA for Christmas, with her new boyfriend Matt, a struggling musician. Don’s belief that “there’s the Quinn way... and the wrong way" is put to test.

Cast:

Bridgit Mendler

Bridget is an American actress known for her work on films like 'Arrietty', 'Alvin and the Chipmunks', 'Lemonade Mouth' and 'Good Luck Charlie.' She will be seen playing Emmy in this television series. 

Brent Morin

Brent is an actor known for 'How to be Single', 'Crunch Time', 'Undateable' and 'The Outdoorsman.' He will be playing the role of Matt in this Christmas TV series. 

Ashley Tisdale

Otherwise known as Sharpay, Ashley Tisdale is an American actress known for her work in films and cartoon series like 'Phineas and Ferb', 'High School Musical', 'Scary Movie 5', 'Aliens in the Attic' and 'Pandas in New York.'

Dennis Quaid

Dennis is an actor known for his work in films like 'The Day After Tomorrow', 'Frequency', 'In Good Company' and 'The Intruder.' He will be seen playing Sherrif Don in this Netflix comedy.

Tucker Cawley

Tucker is a three-time Emmy primetime winner who has produced shows like 'Everybody Loves Raymond', 'Men of a Certain Age', 'Hank', and 'The Odd Couple.' He is the producer and creator of this epic Christmas show on Netflix - 'Merry Happy Whatever.'

From the trailer, we can say one thing for sure that it is going to be Jingle all the way for the Quinns. With Don meeting his daughter's boyfriend for the first time, it is going to be a two-way surprise. The Quinns are unlike your regular family, unconventional and hilarious. We cannot wait for this series to air and it is going to be one helluva binge session.
