Following the stellar lineup of comebacks from K-pop acts like Psy, Monsta X, Verivery, Mamamoo’s Moonbyul, among others, as well as solo debuts of former Lovelyz leader Lee Sujoeng, as well as (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon solo debut, fans still have a lot to look forward to in the coming days of April. But with the sheer number of K-pop acts that are currently active in the industry, fans have many more comebacks to look forward to this entire year.

With BTS announcing a comeback in June of 2022, HYBE’s TXT, Seventeen, and Le Sserafim are scheduling their comebacks and debuts in May 2022 itself. Aside from Le Sserafim’s highly anticipated debut, fans are also excited for CLASS:y, the girl group that was made from winning contestants of the MBC survival show, ‘My Teenage Girl,’ who are about to make their stellar debut this May as well. K-pop debuts in May 2022

Le Sserafim - The first girl group from HYBE labels under their subsidiary Source Music will make their debut with their first mini-album, ‘I Am Fearless’ on May 2 at 6 pm KST (4 am ET). The name of the album is an anagram of the name of the group. The group features six members and also marks the redebut of former IZ*ONE members Sakura and Chaewon.



 

CLASS:y - The girl group that was made of the Top 7 contestants of the MBC survival program ‘My Teenage Girl’ will make their debut with their first mini-album, ‘Y: Class Is Over’ on May 5 at 6 pm KST (4 am ET) which features a total of five tracks that are all named as Title Tracks on the tracklist, which has led to the speculation that the girl group will release five separate music videos, one for each song, for their debut.



 

TNX - P Nation’s new boy group that was made from the SBS survival show, ‘Loud’ will make a debut as TNX aka The New Six on May 17. More details are yet to be revealed about the upcoming release from the first boy group from K-pop sensation Psy’s label.



 

BLANK2Y - Blank2y is a nine-member group under Keystone Entertainment. With members like DK, Louis, Donghyuk, U, Siwoo, Mikey, Youngbin, Sungjun and So Dam, they have announced their plans to debut on May 24 this year.



 

May 2022 comebacks

iKON - YG Entertainment finally announced a comeback for iKON with their upcoming fourth mini-album titled, ‘Flashback’ that will be released on May 3. This will mark the first iKON comeback after their 2020 EP, ‘I Decide’.



 

Super Junior’s Ryeowook - Ryeowook is set to make a comeback with his third mini-album titled ‘Wild Rose,’ which will be released on May 3 at 6 pm KST (4 am ET) which also marks his first solo return since his 2019 EP, ‘Drunk on Love’.



 

WOODZ - After his emotional album, 'Only Lovers Left' from October 2021, Woodz aka Cho Seung-youn will make his comeback with his fourth mini-album, 'Colorful Trauma' which releases on May 4 at 3 pm KST (1 am ET).



 

TXT - Desperate MOAs are finally getting a TXT comeback after eight long months since the release of 'The Chaos Chapter: Fight of Escape', TXT is making a comeback with their fourth mini-album, 'Minisode 2: Thursday's Child' which will be released on May 9 at 6 pm KST (4 am ET). TXT members also teased a collab with American rapper Rich the Kid that fans are anticipating.



 

The Rose’s Woosung - Woosung from the rock band, The Rose will make a comeback with his mini-album, 'Moth' on May 13. This will mark his first comeback since the release of his first regular album, 'Genre' which dropped in December 2021.



 

Oneus - After the success of their November 2021 mini-album, 'Blood Moon', Oneus is set to drop their seventh mini-album, 'Trickster' on May 17.



 

Seventeen - Their first all-English track 'Darl+ling' took the world by storm and made Seventeen the the first K-pop act to collaborate with the tech giant, Apple. The Pledis Entertainment boy group has announced the release of their fourth mini-album, 'Face The Sun,' which will be released on May 27 at 1 pm KST (12 am ET).



 

Japanese comebacks

Enhypen - Enhypen has announced the release of their second Japanese single, 'Dimension: Flash' which will be released on March 3.



 

Golden Child - After the success of their recent Japanese debut, Golden Child is all set to drop their second Japanese single, 'Rat Tat Tat' on May 11.



 

Drippin - Drippin is set to make their Japanese debut with the single, 'So Good' which drops on May 18.



 

Ateez - Alongside their Europe tour, Ateez is also set to make their Japanese comeback with their second mini-album, 'Beyond: Zero' which will be released on May 25.



 

The Boyz - After their 2021 releases with 'Breaking Dawn' and 'Thrill-ing', The Boyz is set to drop their fourth Japanese album, 'She's The Boss' which will be released on May 27.



 

Unspecified comebacks

Other than the ones mentioned above, K-pop groups like Astro, bugAboo, and BVNDIT have all also announced a comeback in May. Former GFriend member Yerin will also be seen making her solo debut in May 2022.
