A fresh take on a classic tale, 'Mary Poppins Returns' definitely looks like it will be the uppity yet emotional story that generations have fallen in love with.

Blunt definitely brings out the Pop in Poppins as far as we've seen in the trailer. This time, she's back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss. She is a nanny who is perfect at her job, but unlike the last generation of the Banks, this one knows about her special skills - her magic. The family is quite surprised to have her back since the last time she stepped in, it was to overcome the grief of losing their mother. Maybe she did look after them after all, even after she was gone. This exposition itself is a pretty deep one for the sequel, and according to Blunt, it gets better. "Rob Marshall pitched me the idea of doing a sequel to 'Mary Poppins' and that he wanted to do it with me - I was so blown away by the whole idea of it. It's a film with great hope and spectacle and its moving," she said, adding, "It's such an important film to be making right now."

Blunt was actually the only choice for the movie, director Marshall revealed. The original one from 1964 had the amazing Julie Andrews starring as Poppins. Both films are based on P. L. Travers' 8 volume book series named 'Mary Poppins'. This time, the music score is by Marc Shaiman and the film features all-new original songs with music by Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman as well as Shaiman. 'Back to Cherry Tree Lane' its latest promo release gives us a taste of what is to come - enchanted streets, some incredible 2D animation and one refreshed Mary Poppins.
