And now, with multiple TV shows starting new seasons, fans are certainly spoiled for choice, prompting aspiring talent to try their luck where ever they can. On Season 17 of 'America's Got Talent', fans were introduced to Marvin Achi and his rather 'unique' talent. So it came as quite a surprise when he was announced as a housemate on Season 24 of 'Big Brother' as well. But turns out, his run on the latter is rather short-lived.

Who is Marvin Achi?

The 28-year-old Marvin Achi is a chemical engineer, fitness model and national champion in USA Body Physique. While he has a degree in Mathematics and Chemistry, he also runs a YouTube channel where he helps people reach their fitness goals.

Why is he no longer a part of 'Big Brother' Season 24?

While Achi was announced to be a part of the 'Big Brother' cast, it seems as though this involvement in 'America's Got Talent' might have proved to be a conflict of interest as reported by online portals like Showbiz Cheatsheet. Reddit sleuths uncovered the reason behind the replacement, as one user wrote -- "Apparently was on AGT and his contract states he can’t be on another show for 3 months following airing. CBS really does the bare minimum research on people they are about to put on National TV for 3 months." Fans continued to call out the network for its weak vetting process. "At this point, they should release the cast 3 weeks in advance - the fanbase does their research for them anyway. If CBS didn't reveal the cast, he'd be on TV tomorrow and it'd be way more embarrassing for them." said another redditor. "BB’s background checks are so sh-t that I bet they didn’t even know he was on AGT. How embarrassing that the fans had to tell them that." added another

While CBS hasn't put out an official statement, the official 'Big Brother' social media channels posted about the switch. "Important casting update! Marvin will no longer be one of our Houseguests on this season of Big Brother. We’re excited to welcome Joseph, a 24-year-old lawyer from Lake Worth, FL. to the #BB24 cast!" said the network.

Is Achi still a part of 'America's Got Talent'?

Regarding his run on 'America's Got Talent', Achi made it past the auditions round, after stripping on stage and displaying his talent called 'abs clapping', claiming to be the only person in the world who could do so. It was clearly enough to impress Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell (Howie Mandel was not a fan), advancing him to the next round. So while fans won't catch him on 'Big Brother' Season 24, they can certainly keep an eye out for him on 'America's Got Talent' Season 17, as of now, seeing that there is no news regarding his exit from the latter. You can watch his audition below.

The 24th season of 'Big Brother' will premiere on July 6, 2022, at 8 pm ET on CBS.
