Tying the knot with someone you have known for just minutes can be a daunting decision to make but not for couples on Lifetime's 'Married At First Sight.' On this show, individuals trust the experts with such life-changing decisions. For some it works, others it doesn't and that's the interesting bit of it all.

Release date

'Married At First Sight' is returning with Season 11 on July 15, Wednesday at 7/8c. Following its 10the anniversary special season, this time too the makers are going for 2-hour long episodes that will air for 17 weeks over which five New Orleans couples will decide whether or not they want to stay committed or go their separate ways.

Plot

The process begins with interested individuals filling out forms mentioning their personal details and preferences. The experts then match two people based on what they have written in their forms. The matched couples are then informed of the development separately, which means they will now have to convince their family and friends about taking this leap of faith.

The wedding shopping and bachelor/ bachelorette party follows, and finally the wedding day when the pair finally gets to meet each other. They can either walk away from the aisle or go ahead with their decision. But once the vows have been made, they have to go through with the honeymoon and living together a bit to understand better if they are meant to be.

Cast

Dr Viviana Coles, Dr Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Cal Robertson will assume the roles of experts on the show. And, the couples participating are:

Henry, 35, who is a clinical recruiter, has been matched with 30-year-old flight attendant Christina. Amelia, 27, is completing her medical residency. She knows it's possible to learn to love someone and that's where the 28-year-old director of theatre company Bennett comes into the scene. He's been in bad relationships before but is secretly hoping to find someone who will truly love him. Woody, 30, a teacher and coach, has been paired with Amani, a 29-year-old who is interested in starting her own not-profit-organization. Along with Brett, 35, and Olivia, 30, who are the fourth couple matched by the experts, Miles and Karen too will be seen working on their marriage this summer.
