'Manhunt' Episode 5 unfolds with a sense of urgency, drawing viewers deeper into Booth's desperate mission to reach Richmond, Virginia.

The opening scene of Episode 5 is charged with disappointment and frustration as Booth and David Herold (Will Harrison) realize that they have inadvertently traveled back to Maryland instead of reaching their intended destination of Richmond.

David suggests they wear soldiers' uniforms to camouflage themselves and restart their journey to Virginia. They patiently wait among the ranks of Confederate soldiers who are traveling to Port Royal.

Initially, Booth had believed that the Confederate soldiers would honor him for his act of killing the president. However, to his dismay, the soldiers criticized him and labeled him a coward.

Will Booth achieve the recognition he desires? It would be fascinating to witness Booth's journey as he tackles various obstacles to reach Richmond.

When Stanton learned from Dr Samuel Mudd (Matt Walsh) that Booth was walking with a crutch, he began to doubt whether Booth had joined the Confederate soldiers en route to Port Royal.

Stanton's health has been deteriorating, but despite this, he remains steadfastly focused on capturing Booth. When his son suggests that he take some rest, Stanton refuses, believing that every moment counts in the pursuit of Booth.

With just two episodes remaining, the possibility of Stanton apprehending Booth in Richmond grows stronger. In the upcoming episode, Stanton and his team may travel to Richmond to expand their strategy to apprehend Booth.

Booth is unaware that Stanton knows he is receiving treatment at Garrett’s farm, setting the stage for a dramatic confrontation in Episode 6.

If Booth departs Garrett’s farm following his treatment, Stanton's team may seek information from the owner regarding Booth's departure and any clues to his next location.

However, it appears that Stanton's health will be further affected, considering the events of Episode 5.
