Mama June's shocking weight loss story: Reality TV star spent $75,000 to lose 300 pounds
We are not the only ones complaining of pandemic weight. Having to coop up in our homes and limited physical activities in the past year have led most to put on a few extra pounds. June 'Mama June' Shannon is not too far behind with her fight against flab. She piled on a shocking 70 pounds while quarantining with boyfriend Geno Doak.
However, she has been working hard to get back in shape and her Instagram feed is proof of it. And we are certain it shouldn't be tough given that she has done it before and successfully.

It was early 2017 when the internet was flooded with photos of an incredibly lean Mama June. Tummy tucked, bat wings gone, and turkey neck nowhere to be seen, the reality TV star's drastic transformation left millions inspired. She had lost 300 pounds, which was a massive drop from 460. But it was not easy. She had to pack in regular workouts and a strict diet program to her daily schedule to reach the weight loss goals she had set for herself.
There's more to it. According to People, Mama June spent "upwards of $75,000 to have gastric sleeve surgery, breast augmentation and skin removal surgery on her “turkey neck,” “bat wings” and stomach — where a combined total of 9 lbs. of skin was removed." She promised she wouldn't go back to being overweight but her vices got in the way and caught her off balance.
But the good bit is, she is now back to being healthy and is invested in adopting a fit lifestyle. "With this quarantine, it is kind of hard, but I’m just trying to maintain where I’m at now,” June told InTouch Weekly and added: “It is kind of work. I mean, I’ll never be back down to like 140 [pounds] and that’s OK with me. Probably my goal now is to be like 200.”
