'Mama June: Road to Redemption' Season 5: Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about WE tv's reality show
June Shannon headlines WE tv's 'Mama June' series, which documents her life's many struggles, including drug addiction and weight loss. Despite being the leader of the pack, she went missing most of the season, leaving fans wondering if she will make an appearance at all.
It was Season 4 Episode 11 of 'Mama June: Family Crisis' when she agreed to meet with her daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird, who had been worried sick about June's health. She was right to feel that way because Mama June wasn't looking good when she showed up. Pumpkin knew she had to be taken to a rehabilitation center, help her manage drug consumption.

Release date
For now, it's scheduled to release sometime in March and there's been no update on a premiere date. Watch this space for more information on it. Plot
This year will be good for Mama June. The reality TV star recently announced how she and her boyfriend Geno Doak have been sober for a year without any relapses. That is happy news and we hope their sobriety journey was documented and will be aired when Season 5 premieres. This is a huge step forward given how at one point the couple was shelling $2,500 upwards on meth.
"My goal is to work inside of a rehab facility to be able to watch people come in at their lowest where I was a year ago n blossom into new amazing person n know my inbox is always open," she wrote on Instagram while detailing how it was like to be living at a truck stop and thinking where they would get money for their next high.
However, that is not her only storyline. There are chances she and Geno will open up about their weight loss journey as well. Their road to fitness is sustainable and doable by most people. They eat healthy and don't look at the weighing scales. "Don’t worry about your weight. But just worry about eating more healthy," she told InTouch Weekly.
Cast
Series regulars June, Geno, Pumpkin, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, Gina Rodriguez, Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, Jennifer Lamb, and Joshua "Josh" Efird will return to serve more drama than ever as they find newer ways to adjust to the storm that June's life has been.
