GORDON, GEORGIA: The new episode of 'Mama June: Family Crisis' is filled with emotional drama as Mama June Shannon, along with her daughters Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson and Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird, attend therapy together. Mama June gave a glimpse of this heartfelt moment on her Instagram.

In the preview, we see June, Honey Boo Boo, and Pumpkin meeting with a family therapist to talk about the hidden problems they have. Unfortunately, things took a bad turn and Honey Boo Boo couldn't hold back her tears when she told about her feelings of being constantly compared to her mother.

Alana, Mama June, and Pumpkin discuss family issues

Alana, Mama June, and Alana's sister, Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird, had a meeting with a family therapist to work on their deep-rooted issues. In one memorable moment, the therapist used an intriguing analogy to explain the feelings they were struggling with. He chose a rotting apple to symbolize anger, pain, and bitterness. With a quick cut, he revealed the spoiled fruit hiding inside, teaching them that appearances can be deceiving and that there is often more going on beneath the surface. This demonstration forcefully reminded them that their problems may not be apparent at first glance, but can still have a significant impact on their relationships.

'They think that I act like my mama'

As the counselor continued to address Mama June's family issues, Alana opened up and shared her frustrations. She expressed her sadness that the therapist, Lauryn, and Mama June believe she's acting like her mother. She said, "I'm mad that these three right here, they think that I act like my mama." To express her anger, Alana took a bat and hit a punching bag three times. When asked why she was so angry, Alana became emotional and tearfully explained that she doesn't feel like she's acting like Mama June, even though others compare her to her mother. Alana's feelings stem from the fact that she's constantly compared to Mama June, especially when it comes to driving. Alana confessed that she's afraid of driving and relies on someone else to drive her around. She expressed her fear of having an accident and not being around, which scares her deeply.

'She’s the only one in the family with a high school diploma'

Fans quickly noticed on the Instagram preview clip that Honey Boo Boo is very different from her mother Mama June. They could even understand Boo Boo's anxiety when it comes to driving. One fan shared, "I completely understand Lana. I don't drive because my eyesight is bad, and I have severe anxiety. I'm terrified of getting into an accident and hurting someone else." Another fan added, "I didn't start driving until I was 21 because I was afraid. Lana will drive when she's ready." Another person expressed, "I feel so sorry for Alana. June is not a good influence." Someone else chimed in, saying, "I got my driver's license at 20. People don't realize that driving can be scary if they've become accustomed to it." Another fan shared, "Oh, I can totally relate to her fear of driving. It makes my anxiety skyrocket. I had a close friend who died in a car accident caused by a drunk driver when I was in my first year of high school, and it happened on July 4th... It scared me so much that I didn't get my license until I was 27." Another commenter stated, "I understand Lana because I used to be the same way after a horrible car accident. Unless you've experienced it, nobody understands the struggle of anxiety. She should consider therapy to overcome it."
